Antonio Berwanger is the superintendent of the Office of Market Regulation at CVM (the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil). His department is responsible for leading the CVM's regulatory process, covering a wide range of topics such as publicly traded companies, investment funds, public securities offerings, and organized securities markets, among others. He joined the CVM as an inspector in 2005, working in the supervision department until 2008 and in the enforcement department until 2011. From 2011 to 2015, he served as the manager of regulatory improvement. He holds a master's degree in Regulatory Law from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas), and bachelor’s degrees in Economics from UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro) and in Law from Universidade Cândido Mendes. He also has a specialization in Fintech Regulation and Financial Innovation from Cambridge Judge Business School.
