Fabio Porchat is considered one of the most renowned names in Brazilian comedy. He graduated as an actor from CAL (Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras) and worked at TV Globo from 2006 to 2013, starting his comedy career on the stages of Rio de Janeiro with stand-up shows. He toured Brazil and the world with his solo comedy show Fora do Normal and achieved great success with the play Meu Passado Me Condena, which was also a hit in cinemas. He is a co-founder of Porta dos Fundos, one of the largest comedy channels in the world, where he also serves as a writer and actor. The channel earned an International Emmy Award in the Best Comedy category for the Christmas special Se Beber Não Case, aired on Netflix. Porchat also hosts a show on the GNT channel, Que História É Essa, Porchat?, which has received several prestigious awards, including the APCA 2019 for Best TV Show. From 2016 to 2018, he hosted the talk show Programa do Porchat on TV Record. From 2018 to 2022, he was part of the team of presenters for Papo de Segunda on GNT. In addition to acting in several successful films in Brazilian cinema, he led a year-end special on TV Globo with a script written by him. Porchat has also aired programs on Portugal television.
