He served as Chief Economist at Citi from 1996 to 2004; CFO and director of Capital Markets at BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank) in 2005; National Treasury secretary in 2006; CFO of BM&FBovespa (now B3) from 2008 to 2010; Chief Economist at Safra from 2011 to 2019; and director at Asa Investimentos from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, he became a founding partner of Oriz.
